Student Leadership at Narre Warren North is highly valued. We provide all students with many opportunities for leadership roles during their schooling.
Opportunities include School Captains and School Vice Captains, House Captains and House Vice Captains, Junior School Council Representatives, ICT representatives and many other classroom roles.
School Captains and School Vice Captains
At the end of each year School Captains and School Vice Captains are appointed using a selection process involving making presentations to the Principal, Assistant Principal and some classroom teachers. Once appointed the elected students participate in Leadership training by the past student leaders. Our captains also participate in a whole day Leadership program in Melbourne and afterwards, using this knowledge, they facilitate training for our House Captains. These school leaders facilitate our school assemblies and take a key role in other special events.
House Captains and House Vice Captains
House Captains are responsible for organising their House meetings and assisting in the preparation of whole school sporting events and organisation of lunchtime House activities.
Junior School Council
It is the role of the Junior School Council to organise fundraising activities for students across the school, survey grades to ascertain their interest in lunchtime clubs and report to School Council twice a year.
