The Art Room is always a busy place at Narre Warren North. First term we refreshed and extended upon our drawing skills. We looked at the colour wheel, warm and cool colours and colour mixing. We studied lines and texture in picture and we experimented with many different mediums, including charcoal, watercolour crayons and watercolour paints.
This term we have been having fun with mixed media. Below are some of our creations.
The magnets were made with Paper Magiclay by the Grade 3/4 students. Our learning intention was to make a functional magnet with all pieces attached. The CD looms were designed and created by the Grade 5/6 students. Our learning intention was to demonstrate the running stitch competently.
Later this year we have mosaic artist Helen Harman revisiting our school for another amazing whole school creation. This will be revealed at our Art Show on Show Day 2015. (Nov)
Check out photos of our mosaic elephants from 2014.
