This term in Science we are studying Earth Science. Students will learn about natural and manmade resources. They will learn about how human use and natural processes cause change to the Earth and how this affects us. Students in Grades 3 – 6 are learning about natural processes and disasters through a range of activities and experiments including: simulating a volcanic eruption with vinegar and bicarb soda; simulating a cyclone using water in a plastic bottle and simulating erosion using sand and water. They will also complete a major project on a natural process or disaster of their choice. Junior students will learn about water conservation and air pollution. They will create mini posters on ways to save our planet.
